Our Personal Marco Pharma Story
Clinical Nutrition Centers was introduced to this superior line of Marco Pharma products when Dr. Lawrence first met Dr. Andreas Marx and Dr. Bernard Muschlien in 1994 during a German Biological Medical training seminar held in the United States and sponsored by Marco Pharma International. These two physicians, Drs. Lawrence & Marx, immediately found common interests, and since Dr. Lawrence and Marx lived in the same city, they developed both a friendship and professional relationship, with Dr. Lawrence the willing and fascinated student. In January 1995, Dr. Marx moved his German Biological Medicine practice within Dr. Lawrence's integrative medical center. It was here where Dr. Lawrence began his hands on education regarding the Marco Pharma products, the Nestmann drainage remedies, and successful health recovery strategies using natural German drainage formulas and Biological Medical techniques. To this day Dr. Lawrence is forever thankful for such training and knowledge learned from working together with Dr. Andreas Marx.
The Marco Pharma International line of products is manufactured by Nestmann & Co. located near Bamberg in the state of Bavaria. Nestmann & Co.’s manufacturing headquarters is surrounded by the largest biodynamic farms of medicinal plants in Germany. The Nestmann homeopathic and herbal formulas have been developed over decades from the knowledge gained by three generations of German naturopathic physicians and pharmacists.
Doctors in Germany and other European countries have achieved excellent results with Nestmann formulas, which are based on the combination of homeopathic prepared tinctures (1x) combined with higher botanical homeopathic potencies. Plant extracts (1x), given as concentrated substances, stimulate the organ function it is designed to functionally improve approximately 20 minutes after administration. A great example is Solidago, which relieves burning while urinating, and using Aesculus which increases circulation in the small blood vessels and relieves cramps. The (1x) tinctures stimulate the organs’ numerous functions, and the accompanying higher potencies normalize conditions and can help the organs heal.
Based on this unique concept, Nestmann formulas work on two levels of organ function simultaneously: supplementing and healing. All Nestmann remedies are standardized* formulas; they are certified pharmaceutical grade, and are controlled by high pressure liquid chromatography (which guarantees that the active ingredients are present in the same concentrations at all times). Nestmann & Co. has insisted on the highest quality and standards of their products for over 60 years.
*The term "standardized" is not exactly defined throughout the world. For the German Nestmann & Company, it stands for:
- The extraction processes used must be reproducible in relation to a precise concentration of one or more active ingredients for each patch produced. This does not mean isolating the ingredients, but all herbs must contain their natural composition ratio of their inherent chemicals.
- Uncontrolled variations of the inherent chemicals which can occur from harvest to harvest are not accepted.
Nestmann's emphasis is to exclude extreme high or low variations so that the same effectiveness of each remedy is always guaranteed.
